Our Story

Rev. Paul Attaochu is the founding pastor of Solace Christian Ministry located in the Metro area of Washington DC.  He is a Master’s degree graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout and the Washington Bible and Theological Seminary.

Mrs. Comfort Attaochu is a graduate of Howard School of Social Works where she obtained a Master’s degree in Social Works (MSW).  She acquired her BS degree in Communication Arts from the Nigeria’s premier University of Ibadan.  She has a calling to the ministry of prayer and intercession for the end time revival and healing in families. She is currently the Women’s Ministry Director in SOLACE Christian Ministry in Maryland. Also, she is a dynamic teacher of the Word of God and coauthor of the book ‘Finishing Well.’

Dr. Timi Akinbohun served in the U.S. Army for about eight years. Also, he served in the civil service with the Department of Defense at the University of Central Missouri as a member of faculty/staff, in the area of Logistics and Supply Management as well as Information Systems Security Officer of the Military Science and Leadership Department of the University, for about twelve years. Dr. Akinbohun has several information technology industry certifications including MCSE, MCSA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ and Project+. He earned his masters degree in Information Technology from Aspen University, Denver Colorado and a doctorate degree in Management from Colorado Technical University, Colorado Spring, Colorado. Dr. Akinbohun is currently the executive pastor and partner to SOLACE Christian Ministry. He is the author of the book, ‘Kingdom Generosity Without Tithing’ and coauthor of ‘Finishing Well’.

Dr. Patricia Akinbohun is very passionate about the quality of care for children and family, most especially the older adults. Dr. Akinbohun graduated from Colorado Technical University, Colorado Spring, Colorado with a doctorate in Healthcare Management and Leadership. Also she is a graduate of University of Central Missouri (UCM) where she obtained her Master’s degree in Social Gerontology and acquired her Bachelor of Science degree at the same university with a major in Child and Family Development (CFD) and minor in Psychology with Magna Cum Laude. She was also a McNair Scholar in 2012 with the second position in McNair Internship Research Paper. She is a researcher with multiple of publications.

Glory Attaochu is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where she received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism and Media Integration.

Samuel Attaochu graduated with a Masters degree in Public Administration at San Diego State University, San Diego, California. And received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Governmenta from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Jeremiah Ojimaojo Attaochu is the founder and chairperson of Glory's Hope Foundation. He was born on January 17, 1993 in Ibadan, Oyo State of Nigeria. He migrated to the United States in 2001 with his Mom to join his Dad in Washington D.C. in the United States of America. Jerry grew up in a very strong christian home under the leadership of a humble father and a prayerful mother. He was a good soccer player growing up in Nigeria and continued to play soccer in his Elementary school in Washington D.C. And while attending Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. the Lord that knows the best path to his future allowed him to make a mistake (Romans 8:28) during physical checkup by entering into a football room for checkup instead of a soccer room.

In 2010 he received and accepted a scholarship from Georgia Tech. He finished his career as Georgia Tech's all-time leader in sacks with 31.5, surpassing Greg Gathers' 31 that he set between 1999 to 2002. Jerry was the Nigerian-born American football outside linebacker for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). The Chargers drafted him in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He was with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League for the early parts of 2018 and currently with the New York Jet for the rest of 2018 season. Jerry is an epitome of intentional leadership. He desires that young emerging African males and females will one day in the future have the opportunity to see their dreams come to fruition. And this is one of the reasons for the formation of this foundation.

Glory's Hope Foundation is here today because of the significant achievements the Lord has made possible in the trajectory of Jeremiah Attaochu’s career. It is an effort to reach out and invest in the next generation of the unreached young SCD group of people in the U.S. and the continent of Africa. Right now, approximately 66 percent of Africa’s total population is below the age of 35. And this foundation will do her best as the Lord will allow us, to reach as many of these groups as possible.
